4hr Custodian

Custodian role supporting the Plant Manager to ensure safety, security, cleanliness and appearance of the physical plant; opens building in the morning and secures it in the afternoon; maintains ventilation and lighting, replaces light globes, and handles minor repairs; receives supplies, checks inventory, and oversees custodial staff; reports vandalism and condition of the school to the principal; monitors safety equipment and playground gear; performs yard and shrub maintenance; clears trash, buffers floors, and maintains hallway and entrance cleanliness; assists with school events and assemblies; coordinates with the principal on duties and timekeeping; conducts light maintenance tasks such as faucet handles, switches, door hardware, glass repairs, and painting; may work overtime and split shifts as required; must be able to read service orders, review receipts, and communicate effectively with administrators and contractors.
