Job Summary
Join Samsung's Wireless Networks team as a 4G/5G RAN Tier3 Engineer SME, where you will troubleshoot and resolve issues for Samsung's 4G and 5G products in adherence to customer SLAs. Conduct trials, optimize network performance, and present findings to customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical discussions, and author proposals. Required qualifications include an undergraduate degree in engineering and substantial experience in 4G/5G technologies and protocols. A strong understanding of 3GPP specifications and skills in communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in engineering
- 8-10 years of directly related experience (Masters with 8+ years is preferred)
- 4G/5G Call Processing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of RRC, S1-MME, S1-U, X2, RLC, MAC, PHY protocols
- Understanding of Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies
- Fluent in 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, implementation, and performance improvements (KPIs)
- Familiarity with various RF antenna technologies & network optimizations
- Experience with scripting languages and programming languages (C language)
- Experience with multi-core programming
- Working knowledge of ongoing 3GPP Rel-15/16 activities
