Job Summary
RN to work on the 4C Medical Stepdown Unit at Christiana Hospital (36 hours/week, full-time) with weekend and holiday coverage as per department guidelines. The unit is a Medical Intermediate Care inpatient unit serving a complex adult patient population. Responsibilities include managing a 4-5 patient assignment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team (Patient Care Technicians, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and other professionals), and providing patient-centered, relationship-based care. The role supports orientation and encourages board certification in Medical-Surgical, Geriatric, and/or Progressive Care Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- ADN candidate required to commit to obtaining BSN within three years of hire
- BLS required
- at least one year experience in acute or sub-acute care preferred
