Job Summary
Greet guests authentically, observe their needs, and tailor your approach using body language and verbal cues. Execute detailed, accurate sorting operations including all unload schedule times, then stock, backstock, and zone product on the sales floor. Maintain instocks for GM categories, operate power equipment only if certified, and manage defectives and environmentally sensitive items in compliance with laws. Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and drive-up duties while adhering to adult beverage laws. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, lifting merchandise up to 44 pounds, and maintain a culture of safety and ethical conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)
- Reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
- Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement
- Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
- Operating power equipment only if certified and partner with leader if certification is needed
