Job Summary
Execute detailed, accurate sorting operations by stocking, organizing reserve product, and straightening merchandise on the sales floor to maintain product availability for General Merchandise categories. Greet guests at 10 feet, assist with finding items or resolving issues, and end every transaction with a sincere thank you while supporting team efforts in areas like back-up cashier, order pick-up, and drive-up services. Operate powered equipment if certified to unload freight and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance. Process defective items and handle environmentally sensitive products in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility for varying hours, days, or shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds throughout the duration of a shift without additional assistance from others
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
