490 Forklift Operator

Job Summary
Operate industrial forklift trucks to transport materials, equipment, and pallets between storage areas and production machines while complying with food safety, quality, and security protocols. Perform pre-operation safety checks on batteries, brakes, and controls; replace defective pallets; and respond to radio calls to replenish empty bins. Maintain work areas clean and orderly, properly document wash/sanitize procedures, and ensure correct materials are available during production changeovers. Recognize allergens and segregate storage areas accordingly. Communicate in both English and Spanish, work independently or as part of a team, and manage time effectively under deadlines. Willingness to work extended hours, second shifts, and weekends is required.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience operating forklift
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must present proper employee Id upon entering premises
- Must present Parking permit upon entering premises
- Must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as occasionally part of a group.
- Must have good time-management skills and be able to work under a deadline.
- Willingness to work extended hours, 2nd shift, and/or weekends.
- Stand up forklift experience
- Must be able to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and self-reliant a plus.
