Job Summary
Elementary School Teacher needed for a 10-month contract (200 days) to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary environment. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized, professional classroom; ongoing curriculum evaluation and development to meet Tennessee standards; collaborating with faculty to deliver instruction; fostering independent thinking, creativity, and abstract reasoning; supporting student empathy and problem resolution with parents; conducting parent/student/teacher conferences; and pursuing ongoing professional development, all under the district’s EEO guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Teacher's certificate with qualifying endorsement area
- FBI/TBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance every five years
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent might find appropriate and acceptable
