Job Summary

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for providing and maintaining high standards of customer service in the store’s front-end operations and for supervising and directing all front-end activities. Key duties include greeting customers within 10 feet, assisting cashiers, managing bagging procedures, opening additional registers during peak times, creating and enforcing front-end work schedules, assisting with various sales transactions (Accounts Receivable, Food Stamps, WIC, coupons, checks, gift certificates/cards), processing Western Union and Money Order transactions, communicating pricing issues and POS item discrepancies to management, handling refunds and overrides, enforcing dress code and breaks, and ensuring perishables are handled promptly. Requires exceptional customer service, prior cashier/front-end experience, adaptability to high volume, basic math, teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and being 18+.

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Previous cashier or front-end experience is required
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and/or stress
  • Must be able to read and do simple math problems
  • Wants to be part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • 18 years of age or older
