Job Summary
Collect, clean, and analyze large healthcare datasets using statistical techniques from medical claims, pharmacy, and patient registries. Conduct descriptive and inferential analyses to assess utilization patterns, treatment effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to design and execute HEOR studies while generating comprehensive reports and visualizations for decision-makers. Support business growth through client relationship development and adhere to data privacy guidelines for sensitive healthcare information. Requires formal training in statistics or epidemiology, a Master's or PhD, and 4+ years of healthcare data analysis experience with proficiency in SAS, R, STATA, or Python.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, health economics, public health, or a related field
- 4+ years hands-on experience in healthcare data analysis, preferably within the HEOR, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, STATA, or Python, with a strong understanding of data manipulation, regression analysis, and predictive modeling techniques
- Familiarity with healthcare databases and coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS)
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data and generate actionable insights
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master or PhD) in quantitative fields such as Health Economics, statistics, Operational Research, Mathematics, data science, biostatistics, or epidemiology
- Experience/knowledge on Medicare and Medicaid data
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
