Job Summary
Operate forklifts to load finished goods, unload various cargoes, and deliver oldest code date stock to the order picking area. Complete pre-operational checklists daily, inspect trailers for SQF requirements, and hand-stack cases of finished goods on pallets. Maintain accurate data for all orders loaded, deliver incoming merchandise to proper departments, and rotate stock while ensuring weight distribution on outgoing shipments. Clean floors, trailers, loading docks, and exterior areas to keep the warehouse orderly. Follow safety rules, company policies, and supervisor instructions while performing duties as an order puller and assisting with inventory counts.
Required Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- High school plus additional training
- Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions
- Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles
- Eye/hand/foot coordination to operate forklift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to reach extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Ability to walk moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Ability to push using upper extremities to press against something with steady force
- Ability to talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Ability to hear perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
