Job Summary
Maintain a visible, accessible presence throughout the school day in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and grounds to ensure continuous alignment with the District's Strategic Plan. Sustain a shared mission focused on continuous improvement, promote physical and emotional safety for all students, and partner authentically with families and community stakeholders. Support effective instruction using the CEL 5D+ Instructional Framework, assist staff in aligning curriculum to Washington state standards, and oversee day-to-day operations, student behavior management, and facility safety. Maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and key community stakeholders while upholding the District's inclusive culture.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education
- Classroom Teaching Experience
- Washington Administrator Certificate eligibility
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Valid Washington State Principal's, Program Administrator's, or Superintendent's Certificate
- valid Washington State Teaching Certificate
- FLSA Status Exempt
- WSP/FBI Background Clearance
- WA State Sexual Misconduct Inquiry
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a building administrator in a K–8 public school setting
- Experience with CEL 5D+ Instructional Framework
- Deep understanding of K–8 curriculum, instructional strategies, interventions, Special Education functions, and Highly Capable programming
- Understanding of child and adolescent physical, emotional, and intellectual development across the K–8 spectrum
- Proficiency in leveraging technology to support learning, including 1:1 student device environments
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, high-stress situation management, and culturally responsive leadership
