Job Summary

403g Broadcast Maintenance Technician needed to support Paramount's CBS Network and affiliated production units. Must provide around-the-clock engineering support for on-air and production broadcast systems, including IP video (ST 2110), SDI, and interlinked channel playout, with hands-on experience in EA equipment like Evertz, Grass Valley AMPP, and Imagine SNP; responsibilities include setting up, monitoring, and solving problems across high-bandwidth video networks, ensuring signal integrity, redundancy, and reliable delivery across multiple paths.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering support and troubleshooting experience in broadcast environments
  • On-air playout in broadcast and/or streaming environments
  • Live broadcast control room operations
  • Transmission operations supporting real-time monitoring and distribution across multiple delivery paths
  • Expert-level knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 IP video infrastructure
  • Proficiency with broadcast test and measurement equipment
  • Knowledge of broadcast engineering best practices related to signal redundancy, failover, and resiliency design
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Evertz IP-based systems
