Job Summary
Provide a secure working environment for S&K Gaming facilities, employees, and guests by managing physical security assets, directing security officers, and overseeing daily operations. Conduct or direct research, investigations, and special projects as assigned while ensuring compliance with Federal and Tribal Gaming Controls. Escort terminated employees off premises if needed and respond to all emergency requests or concerns from casino staff in a timely manner. Assist in hiring, develop security procedures, and lead the Security department in conjunction with the Security Manager. Complete schedules for security staff at KwaTaqNuk and maintain strict confidentiality of all incidents.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of experience in the security field
- Must have one year of supervisory experience with a staff of two or more employees
- Complete working knowledge of Federal and Tribal Gaming Controls
- Working knowledge of casino operations, including all aspects of gaming operations
- Working knowledge of cash handling procedures, cage procedures and shift manager duties, including all reporting that is required
- Knowledge of physical security and fire evacuation procedures
- Skill in observing situations and decision making
- Skill in dealing courteously with the public
- Skill in leading the work of others
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Must be extremely detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and strive for accuracy
- Must be flexible and a fast learner and willing to accommodate new and extra work as requested by Security Manager
- Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record
