Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a Worcester, MA group home, responsible for advocating for and supporting adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in their lives. Duties include caregiving, household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, assisting with medical appointments, transportation to activities, and helping individuals follow Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans. May assist with medications (MAP) and accompany clients to appointments. Paid orientation, CPR/First Aid training, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and MAP training provided. Requires compassionate, dependable, team-oriented professionals capable of working within a supportive residential setting; benefits include health, vision, dental, PTO, life insurance, parental leave, and referral programs. Schedule includes Sunday 8a-5p, several weekday shifts, and on-site duties in a group-home environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or G.E.D.
- 21+ years old
- valid driver’s license
- daily use of a car on site (preferred but not required)
- availability by telephone for daily contact
- Schedule includes weekends and evenings as listed in the posting
