Job Summary
Inspect equipment for signs of wear, perform basic maintenance, and clean work areas while maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions. Properly wear personal protective equipment and ensure materials are loaded according to safety requirements. Notify supervisors of needed repairs and assist in plant maintenance and repairs. Participate in safety programs to promote the Guardian Angel culture. This full-time role requires minimal supervision and knowledge of MSHA regulations. Located at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri, the position supports Martin Marietta's Magnesia Specialties business, which produces high-purity magnesia and dolomitic lime products used worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid US driver's license
- 1 + year related experience
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective verbal communication
- Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
