Job Summary
General Education and Special Education Paraprofessional provides direct support to students with disabilities under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher. Responsibilities include reinforcing daily lessons, supervising students during transitions and breaks, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), collecting data for IEP goals, implementing behavior interventions, and collaborating with teachers, case managers, and related service providers. The role supports student safety, engagement, and a positive learning environment, may involve preparing learning materials, and may be reassigned to other positions as determined by district administration. The position requires a High School Diploma and either two years of college credits (often 60 credits), an associate degree or higher, or a passing ParaPro/Paraeducator assessment. Wages range from $21.07 to $22.63 per hour, contingent on experience.
