Job Summary
4-H Program Assistant (Wyoming County) for Penn State Cooperative Extension. Approximately 20 hours/week with availability for evening and weekend events. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate 4-H events, activities, and projects; developing county programs with staff; assisting with member and volunteer registration and supervision; communicating with volunteers, youth, and parents; coordinating shows, workshops, and traditional events; supporting marketing through news releases and social media; data entry and evaluation as needed; and collaborating with Educator to reach new audiences while adhering to Penn State Equal Access Policy. Must have strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, a valid PA driver’s license and reliable vehicle, and be able to obtain required background clearances before start.
Required Qualifications
- Possess good communication skills for interaction with youth, parents, leaders, and staff
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Computer skills for creating documents and marketing materials
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable vehicle; ability to drive as part of job duties
- Background clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
