Job Summary
Classroom teacher for K-8 at Performance Academies with responsibility to deliver standards-aligned lessons using provided resources, differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs, utilize data and assessments to tailor instruction, and engage students through inquiry-based and experiential learning. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating field trip forms and parental communications, supporting enrollment efforts, upholding PBIS and behavioral policies, collaborating with teachers and instructional coaches to design interdisciplinary units, and participating in professional development and school-wide initiatives. The role emphasizes equity and inclusion, adherence to school policies, and using the academy’s resources exclusively in curriculum delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution
- Valid state certification in Education or the ability to obtain certification
- Proven success in working with K-8 grade students in a classroom setting, particularly in diverse and inclusive environments
- Strong understanding of child development, pedagogical theory, and best practices in education
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms related to classroom instruction and assessment
- Commitment to using Performance Academies’ instructional resources exclusively in curriculum delivery
