Job Summary
Conduct daily operational adjustments, monitor equipment, and record data in the wastewater area. Operate the sludge press, assist with lab testing, and perform general housekeeping as needed. Enter environmental data using Microsoft Excel and Word, and operate a forklift when required. Cover co-worker vacations and holidays on a rotating basis. Obtain an Iowa Grade 1 wastewater operator license within 18 months. Work unsupervised year-round, including outside conditions and stair climbing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain an Iowa Grade 1 wastewater operator license within 18 months
- Must be able to operate forklift as needed
- Good communication skills
- Mechanical skills
- General Math Skills
- Working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word for data entry
- Self-Motivator
- Able to work unsupervised as required
- Able to work outside year round as needed
- Able to climb stairs
- Good attendance record (Less than 3.0 points, for internal candidates)
- Must be available for holidays as needed (rotating with co-workers)
- Must be available to cover co-worker vacations as needed
- Must be available for 3rd shift hours (Midnight - Noon, Saturday - Monday)
