Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, rotate inventory, and pick and fill orders accurately using pallet jacks and forklifts. Follow HACCP, SQF, and all Standard Operating Procedures while wearing required personal protective equipment in a cold environment. Communicate shortages and errors effectively, fill order tickets, organize paperwork, and manage daily inventory with attention to code dates. This role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a food manufacturing facility processing eggs, milk, wheat, soy, fish, crustacean shellfish, and tree nuts. Schedule Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 PM with a varying end time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-3 months of related experience
- Obtain forklift and pallet jack license
- Read, speak, and write English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, push, pull
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must follow HACCP and SQF programs
- Must follow all Food Safety procedures
- Must follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Must be familiar with all of Mrs. Gerry's products being shipped
- Must be able to count products utilizing basic math skills
- Must be able to communicate shortages and errors effectively
- Must be able to load and unload trucks according to safety standards
- Must be able to inventory products daily
- Must be able to fill order tickets and organize related paperwork
- Must be able to know code dates and rotate stock
- Must be able to work in cold environment
- Must be able to work in wet or humid conditions
- Must be able to work around moving machinery
- Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work around airborne particles
- Must be able to work around varying temperatures
- Must be able to work around moderate noise levels
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing
- Must pass background screening
- Must be available for Sunday - Thursday schedule
- Must be available for 10:00 PM start time
- Must be available for occasional schedule changes
- Must be available for on-site position in Albert Lea, MN
