3rd Shift Set-Up/Operator

Set up mechanically controlled production equipment (press brakes, saws, drills, spot welders, flame cutters, shears) for operation by self or others. Install tools, dies or fixtures to produce parts to blueprint tolerance and specifications. Use wrenches, hoists, gages and precision measuring equipment. Correlate machine positions with alignment, tool sequence, clearances and part dimensions. Set speeds, feeds and depth of cut adjustments. Ensure first piece inspection is performed and approved. Mark approved piece as sample for operator. Ensure all safety features are functioning and set safety devices to perform properly. Advise supervisor of irregularities. Responsible for quality of own work, perform weekly machine inspections, and maintain clean, safe, and orderly work area. Maintains accurate production and quality records; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
