Job Summary
Clean production rooms, disassemble equipment for deep cleaning, and complete production tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor and Team Lead. Perform duties involving scrubbing, ladder work, and hose usage while adhering to safety, quality, and sanitation protocols. Communicate work order progress to supervisors and operators, and report any non-conforming product or equipment to Quality Assurance. Maintain a safe environment by following all standard operating procedures and manufacturer specifications. Work in varying temperatures and fast-paced conditions while troubleshooting mechanical issues and learning production aspects.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for periodic overtime
- Must be able to work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
- Must be able to work in environments where dust is present
- Must be able to reach over the head with a scrub brush
- Must be able to clean on a ladder
- Must be able to use a water hose
- Must be able to use cleaning detergents and sanitizers
- Must be able to follow manufacturer's specifications and directions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to communicate work order progress to supervisor and production operators
- Must be able to ensure a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
- Must be able to follow all procedures, GMPs, Safety, Quality, and Sanitation plans
- Must be able to identify and report all potentially non-conforming product and equipment to Supervisor and the Quality Assurance Department
- Must be able to be flexible in work performed and schedule
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry
- Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
- Able to trouble shoot mechanical problems
