Job Summary
Assemble, test, and repair electromechanical turbine components including installation, bonding, drilling, and wiring using engineering drawings and standard tooling. Operate cranes and forklifts to move materials, perform complex repairs, and conduct quality inspections for critical defects. Execute on-the-job training for new personnel, maintain 5s housekeeping, and ensure strict adherence to EHS compliance, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safety data requirements. Work the 3rd shift (11p-7a) in a non-climate-controlled environment with physical demands involving lifting up to 40 pounds and using air tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability and willingness to work 3rd Shift 11p-7a
- Ability and willingness to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to convey technical/mechanical ability
- Vocational Certification
- Prior manufacturing production, warehouse, or industrial assembly experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read schematics/drawings
- Knowledge of safe shop operation practices
- Qualified in various manufacturing functions (IE Forklift)
- Prior experience assembling mechanical components
- Ability to identify maintenance issues with machinery or equipment
- Focus and understanding of LEAN
- Ability and willingness to work overtime
- Must be willing to perform work in a team environment
- Must adhere to all safety, attendance, and work rules, regulations & equipment requirements
- Must be able to understand safety data and shelf-life information
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and practices
- Must be able to use all required personal protective equipment
- Must ensure machine guards and safety features are working
- Must identify and report unsafe working conditions
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be able to identify and report quality issues found through in-line checking
- Must be able to report critical appearance defects for resolution
- Must be able to use standard tooling
- Must be able to utilize the proper chemicals
- Must be able to follow EHS compliance for turbine assembly and test
- Must be able to perform complete and accurate quality documentation
- Must be able to assist in implementation of documentation and process improvements
- Must be able to assist in testing and minor inspections as needed
- Must be able to move material/product using cranes (Level 2) and other approved material movement equipment
- Must be able to unload and prepare parts/product for shipment
- Must be able to perform Complex repair work
- Must be able to provide on-the job training to other personnel
- Must be able to complete other daily housekeeping functions including 5s and parts kitting
- Must be able to assist in all aspects for Service and Repair work
- Must be able to use all required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to ensure machine guards and safety features are working
- Must be able to identify and report unsafe working conditions
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Must be able to identify and report quality issues found through in-line checking
- Must be able to report critical appearance defects for resolution
- Must be able to work in a loud/noisy environment
- Must be able to work in non-climate controlled conditions (hot or cold)
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must be able to switch between various production assignments as required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a drug screen (as applicable)
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year manufacturing experience
- 1 year relevant work experience
