3rd Shift Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Staff, train, and develop production employees while enforcing company policies across all shifts. Insure accurate two-way communication through meetings and memos, and execute production schedules per corporate policy. Maintain an efficient inventory system to minimize scrap and meet production requirements, while providing safety training and equipment to personnel. Supervise all manufacturing personnel except Tooling and Maintenance, including interviewing, hiring, training, and addressing performance issues. Confers regularly with leadership to seek direction and ensures maximum product quality through cooperation with engineering. Continually strive to enhance production and assembly processes geared toward profitability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to frequently walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to talk or hear
