Job Summary
3rd Shift Press Operator at Alleguard responsible for inspecting and sorting molded/assembled parts for defects, packing parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations, and recording production data. The role requires monitoring the press to ensure parts eject from the mold, discarding non-conforming parts, labeling containers, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety policies. Requires visual inspection, reading comprehension, active listening, and operation monitoring skills, plus the ability to move parts with a pallet jack and lift up to 50 lbs. Shift is 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m., Monday–Friday, with overtime/weekend work as needed. Required Qualifications
- Observation - ability to visually inspect parts during the production operation and properly determine whether the parts meet quality standards
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written instructions contained in work-related documents
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things
- Ability to use manual pallet jack or other designated material handling equipment to move finished good parts and/or components to/from the assigned workstation
- Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively
- Physical demands and PPE requirements including standing for 4-8 hours, lifting 50 lbs, PPE usage
