Job Summary
3rd Shift Pool Operator monitors, tests, and adjusts pool water chemistry; maintains accurate chemical and maintenance logs; performs routine pool maintenance and backwashing; maintains cleanliness of pool and locker areas; safely handles and stores pool chemicals; frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds; reports equipment or safety issues; assists with custodial and maintenance duties; assists with snow removal; responds to emergency situations; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of commercial or institutional swimming pool operations
- Knowledge of pool chemical handling and water chemistry
- Ability to follow safety practices and regulations
- Familiarity with health department regulations
- Ability to read chemical labels, SDS sheets, and instructions
- Ability to work independently
- Basic record-keeping skills
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or ability to obtain
