Job Summary
Unload waste from incoming vehicles, separate non-autoclavable items for incineration, and stage waste on conveyor systems or for scanning in the Biotrack system. Scan waste for recordkeeping, load autoclave bins or incinerator hoppers, and operate tub wash units to decontaminate reusable containers. Ensure vehicles are decontaminated, reload reusable tubs, and verify no free liquids remain before informing the supervisor the dock is ready. Address housekeeping issues immediately, including spills and debris, while maintaining safety compliance. This safety-sensitive role operates in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location
- Valid Driver's Licence
