Job Summary
Verify materials against receiving and shipping documents, noting discrepancies and damages. Route materials to prescribed storage locations using scanners and proper methods. Rearrange inventory, examine stored items for deterioration, and prepare materials for shipment by loading, unloading trucks, and tagging packages. Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to stage and process material. Maintain a clean work area while meeting physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs. Good attendance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and orders
- Good reading, writing and math skills as measured by a pre-employment test
- Ability to meet physical demands of position which are required 95% of the work day (i.e. lifting up to 50lbs independently, pushing, pulling, standing, climbing)
- Ability to work as a team member without close supervision to meet Company and personal goals
Desired Qualifications
- Previous shipping and receiving experience helpful
- Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
