Job Summary
3rd Shift Operator responsible for cutting, bending, fabricating, and folding sheet metal to create components used in the finished product. Operates laser, press brake/turret and other fabrication tools with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timeliness. Reads blueprints to produce quality cuts and folds, sets up equipment safely, and may operate a forklift if certified. Performs inspections before, during, and after build, monitors equipment, conducts basic maintenance, and may participate in cross-training across production departments. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 70 pounds occasionally, stand for extended periods, and pass a pre-employment drug test. Must have basic English reading/writing/speaking ability. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience operating laser, press brake/turret or other metal fabrication tools
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand or walk for extended amounts of time
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently & lift 70 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to effectively read, write and speak the English language
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test
- Knowledge of safety rules and ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to safely use measuring tools and various hand/power/pneumatic tools
- Willingness to cross-train in other production departments
