Job Summary
Conduct precision deburring using hand tools to remove burrs and sharp edges from components. Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines while reading and interpreting engineering prints, GD&T, and quality standards. Monitor dimensional tolerances to identify non-conforming parts, maintain accurate documentation in shop travelers and production tracking software, and report process inefficiencies or machine issues. Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, and oils during normal manufacturing operations. Maintain required inspection certifications and follow work priorities to meet production goals. Work the 3rd shift from Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 pm to 07:00 am.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Person status (lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, refugee, or asylee)
- HS diploma or equivalent
- In the absence of HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience
- Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications)
- Ability to handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, and oils (petroleum based products) and chemical vapors from products during the normal manufacturing
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s)
- Availability for 3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 07:00 am
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.
- Experience with basic hand tools
- Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints
