Job Summary
3rd Shift Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and utilities; diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; assist with installations, changeovers, calibrations; document activities in CMMS; respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime; collaborate with operators to troubleshoot; support startups and equipment optimization; maintain tools, spare parts inventory; follow OSHA/NFPA 70E, LOTO, confined-space, arc-flash safety programs; participate in root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement initiatives; read blueprints and schematics; comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs and working in heat/noise/dust with PPE; flexible shifts including overtime and weekends. Requires 2+ years of maintenance experience and relevant technical certifications or associate degree.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may include heat, noise, dust, and required PPE.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
- Technical certification, vocational training, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, sensors, and controls.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability-centered maintenance programs.
