Job Summary
Diagnose machine malfunctions, execute complex equipment repairs, and lead project teams for machine tool installation or relocation. Define and run preventative maintenance plans on high-complexity machinery while overseeing parameter control with integrated measuring tools. Monitor and adjust settings, maintain safety device controls, and conduct standard exchanges of controllers, cylinders, pumps, and engines. Lead rebuilding efforts to ensure optimal uptime across a wide variety of machines. Manage maintenance activities within the CMMS and provide mentorship to fellow technicians on diagnostic attributes and complex processes.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude to learn electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and associated equipment
- Must have experience reading a voltage meter and have motor control experience
- Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements
- Action and goal-oriented mindset
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- Proven mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance/repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and associated equipment
- Ability to perform basic functions on a computer
- HS Diploma/GED
- Graduation from an industrial trade school
- At least five years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant training from trade school or on the job training
- Maintenance experience within the plastics industry
- Overtime and weekends (Saturday/Sunday) may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from an industrial trade school is highly preferred
