Job Summary
Lead the assigned shift maintenance team by overseeing repairs, coordinating daily workloads for Process Technicians, and scheduling the daily maintenance plan based on production needs. Ensure timely completion of both scheduled and unscheduled machine repairs while deploying resources to support optimal run efficiencies. Provide technical assistance to production management, assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting, and review work orders to verify PM accuracy. Foster technician development through training and collaboration, reporting updates to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager. This role reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager within Gorton's Seafood, a national brand based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, dedicated to making quality seafood accessible to everyone.
Required Qualifications
- Five years prior maintenance experience in a food manufacturer setting
- Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Solid computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience using a CMMS system
- Electrical or controls experience
- A proven track record of working collaboratively with others
