Job Summary
Conduct maintenance on conveyor systems by repairing, adjusting, and replacing components like bearings and sprockets. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC, while managing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Operate warehouse equipment including scissor and boom lifts, and perform cutting, welding, and fabrication as needed. Communicate with management on projects and breakdowns, adhering to safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout. Follow up on tasks and inquiries promptly, remaining flexible for overtime and team collaboration. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM in our Riverside, NJ Distribution Center.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of repairing and adjusting conveyor system (such as lacing and tracking conveyor belts, replacing bearings and sprockets)
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and general electrical issues from 12VDC to 480VAC
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of mechanics tools and equipment
- Ability to follow-up on task, projects and inquiries as needed in a timely and effective manner
- Must be able to participate effectively as a team member
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (Scissor lift and Boom lift)
- Communications with management on all maintenance projects and breakdowns
- Adhere to safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout) and general work guidelines
- Ability to follow instructions and directions
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs and must be flexible to work overtime at any given notice
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
