Job Summary
Complete daily maintenance tracking and walk-throughs to inform supervisors of designated area status. Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, set-ups, and troubleshooting on packaging and compounding equipment using root cause analysis methods. Train production personnel on proper equipment use and handle special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager. Execute work orders for improvements and follow-ups while reporting status to leadership. Work rotational schedules and overtime as required based on business needs. This role requires five years of hands-on mechanical experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of hands on mechanical experience with packaging equipment from either Pharmaceutical, food, packaging or another similar manufacturing environment
- Successful completion of a certification program that is accredited and recognized in the areas of mechanical engineering/mechanical design/troubleshooting etc
- Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech
- At least two years of completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering program from an accredited university/college
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with Automation / ELAU+
- CNC Operators Experience
- Ability to work rotational schedules as required based on business needs
- Ability to work overtime with or without prior notice
- Ability to work under little to general supervision
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
- Ability to complete work orders performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities
- Ability to conduct and perform maintenance, repair, improvements, set-ups, troubleshooting, follow up, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Maintenance
- Ability to report to supervisor on all packaging, and compounding equipment
- Ability to handle any special assignments and projects as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Supervisor, Master Mechanic and or Manager
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
