Job Summary
Operate rotational molding machines to meet plant metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Monitor demolded plastic parts for quality standards, detect defective materials, and report questionable conditions to the supervisor. Maintain a clean work area, follow safety regulations, and perform prescribed preventative maintenance per PM charts. Execute tasks including material filling, deburring, molding, bench operations, and product inspection. Work at a pace meeting daily production expectations while accepting frequent supervision for machine setup. Accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up.
Required Qualifications
- 10pm - 6am
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Must always demonstrate patience to successfully work through frustrating challenges and present oneself in a calm professional manner
- Must have the ability to work with and around others
- 15 to 25 lbs. frequent lifting
- 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting
- Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day to day functions
- Able to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods of time
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders may be required
- Frequent use of hands and wrists on both large and small items: e.g., screws, bolts, nuts to service the molds
- It is necessary for this position to frequently climb stairs throughout the day
- This position is required to constantly stand and walk
- Able to perform simple math and measurements
- Able to create and maintain accurate production records
- Able to meet daily production expectations
- Able to effectively communicate critical information and production needs to supervision and co-workers
- Able to detect and communicate molding defects efficiently and effectively
- High attention to detail and able to retain and follow detailed work instructions
- Able to work independently, be a self-starter, and meet deadlines
- Able to perform critical thinking and complex problem solving
- Ability to utilize computer platforms to access work instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred
- Experience and/or Training: Prior rotational molding experience preferred
