Job Summary
Hands-on, non-production plant role focusing on preventive maintenance, emergency repairs and electrical control design for machinery. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supervising electrical control systems, troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs, PLC programming, HMI development (RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, PanelView), and maintaining control documentation. Collaborates with Plant Engineer and Maintenance Managers to plan goals and executes projects from start to finish, including cost-saving initiatives and SOP documentation. Requires HAZMAT participation, PPE, and potential TIG welding to food-grade standards; proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and VB programming is a plus. Strong verbal/written communication, advanced computer skills, and ability to troubleshoot computer systems in a server environment are expected.
Required Qualifications
- PLC and HMI programming experience (RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View ME & SE, PanelView & PanelView+)
- Electrical troubleshooting with PLC and VFD experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to solve computer system problems in a server environment
