Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, perform accurate data entry of patient information, and process billing and payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients while handling administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Work three 12-hour shifts between Monday and Friday from 6:30pm to 7:00am with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
