Job Summary
3rd Shift General Laborer at Amrize Quarry in Rockville, MD. Responsible for general labor duties around the quarry, including safely operating power tools, assisting with equipment maintenance and basic mechanical or electrical repairs, and working around heavy machinery in an outdoor, industrial environment. Must be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, physically capable, and able to follow directions while taking initiative. Duties include site cleanup, use of grinders/drills/saws, basic equipment troubleshooting/maintenance, basic electrical troubleshooting, and collaborating with team to uphold health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas. Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an outdoor environment
- Experience with power tools (grinders, drills, saws)
- Willingness to learn new equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in basic maintenance/repairs
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or willingness to learn on the job
- Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow site procedures
- Reliable and team-oriented work ethic
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying conditions
- Comfortable around heavy equipment (training provided)
- Health and safety compliance (PPE usage)
