Job Summary
3rd Shift General Labor/Insulator/Crater role performing insulating and crating tasks in CDI’s final assembly. Responsibilities include accurately measuring interior dimensions, installing insulation, lifting lugs, applying foil tape and labels, operating glue guns, drills, sprayers, and pin spotter, inspecting welds, applying cold galvanizing spray paint, tracking/logging work, measuring finished products, cutting lumber for crating with power tools, preparing units for shipping, loading completed products onto trucks in accordance with carrier and DOT requirements, and coordinating with supervisors and production staff. Requires blueprints literacy, strong attention to detail, ability to safely operate hand and power tools, cross-training willingness, ability to follow work orders, and pre-employment drug screening; physical capability to stand/walk for long periods and lift substantial weights; English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of blueprints and designs
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to safely use various measuring tools and hand, power, and pneumatic tools
- Willingness to cross-train in other production departments
- Ability to understand work orders and job schedules
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
