Job Summary
Conduct overnight cleaning of Charlotte Douglas International Airport terminals, gates, and public areas from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including deep cleaning, floor care, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces. Empty trash, restock restroom supplies, and safely operate industrial equipment while adhering to OSHA and airport safety protocols. Report maintenance concerns and inspect assigned areas to ensure quality standards. This full-time, year-round role requires weekly pay, excellent medical and dental benefits, and the ability to work weekends. No prior airport experience is needed; comprehensive training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Detail-oriented and take pride in their work
- Comfortable working overnight shifts
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Available to work weekends
- Able to communicate in English or Spanish
- Be at least 18 years old
- Successfully pass a fingerprint-based background check (10-year history required)
- Obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge
- Meet all airport security and compliance requirements
- Present one valid government-issued photo ID (State ID or Driver's License)
- Present one of the following original documents: U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, U.S. Naturalization Certificate, U.S. Permanent Resident Card, U.S. Employment Authorization Document, or Unrestricted Social Security Card
- Must be able to stand and walk for approximately 94% of the work shift
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stretch
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery
- Must be able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to climb (ascending or descending using feet, legs, hands, and arms)
- Must be able to balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces)
- Must be able to stoop (bending body downward and forward)
- Must be able to kneel (bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees)
- Must be able to reach (extending hands and arms in any direction)
- Must be able to handle (holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands)
- Must be able to carry items 10 or more feet
