Job Summary
3rd Shift Recovery Technician position at Samaritan Recovery Community in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities include acting as a listening presence for clients, employing non-physical de-escalation techniques, reporting after-hours information to on-call staff, documenting client behaviors, following crisis response plans for medical or psychiatric emergencies, conducting and observing urine screens, engaging clients in recovery activities, screening visitors, reporting maintenance concerns, performing hourly status rounds, assisting with emergency drills, and conducting perimeter searches. Requires a High School diploma or GED; CPR/First Aid certification is provided by Samaritan; knowledge of 12-step recovery philosophy and substance abuse issues is a plus. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or some college, CPRS preferred
- Knowledge of 12-Step recovery philosophy is a plus
- Knowledge of substance abuse/addiction issues or related work experience preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries
- First Aid and CPR certification, provided by Samaritan
