Job Summary
Forklift Operator - Shipping on 3rd shift in Northlake, TX. You’ll operate a variety of equipment (dock stockers, reach trucks, turret trucks, and forklifts) to load and transport products within the warehouse, complete orders by processing pick tickets and shuttling pallets, maintain inventory accuracy with scanning and labeling, and support cross-training in other distribution center functions. The role requires reading work orders, following safety regulations, and collaborating with management software systems; physical work includes lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and operating a stand-up forklift for the full shift. You should have a high school diploma or GED, 1-2 years forklift experience, and the ability to obtain forklift certification, with strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years forklift operation experience in warehouse or distribution
- Ability to obtain forklift operator certification
- Knowledge of distribution center methods and procedures
- Ability to understand daily goals and maximize warehouse capacity
- Familiarity with product catalog numbers and handling characteristics
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift/move up to 50 lbs., and operate a stand-up forklift for entire shift
