Job Summary
Conduct daily floor maintenance and cleaning duties including carpet extraction, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surfaces. Operate high-speed buffers, propane burnishing equipment, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning tools while inspecting attachments and ensuring correct chemical dilution ratios. Perform sweeping, mopping, light window and wall cleaning, trash removal, and furniture moving. Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the 35-hour shift from 10pm to 6am Monday through Friday. This Full-Time 3rd Shift role supports HES's educational facilities management services across 29 states.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Able to read, write, and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people

- Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment
- Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment
- Inspect & examine the equipment & attachment tools to ensure quality
- Examine floor care chemicals and their use, ensuring correct dilution ratios are being followed
