Job Summary
Conduct DT12 transmission assembly using the remanufacturing process, assembling all components to a build ready for dyno. Diagnose and correct build issues as they arise by identifying faulty parts and adhering to manufacturer procedures and O.E. specifications. Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges, hoist, and other machinery while maintaining a clean work area and meeting quality standards. Complete training matrix rotations, cross-train on other jobs, and utilize work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials to access company data. Perform physically demanding duties including repetitive processes and lifting up to 50 pounds while collaborating with the team to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
Required Qualifications
- Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
- Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must maintain a clean work area
- Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
- Cross train on other jobs as required
- Ability to operate riveting, torquing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
- Ability to work overtime when necessary
- Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
- Previous mechanical experience
- High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
