Job Summary
Assemble DT12 transmissions via the established remanufacturing process, completing all component builds ready for dyno testing. Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges, hoist, and hand tools while properly identifying parts by learning identification numbers. Diagnose and correct build issues as they arise, adhering to work instructions, manufacturer procedures, and O.E. specifications. Maintain a clean work area, meet quality standards, and implement continuous improvement measures. Perform physically demanding duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, and standing on concrete for the entire shift. Complete training matrix for each rotation position and cross-train on other jobs as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
- Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must maintain a clean work area
- Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
- Cross train on other jobs as required
- Ability to operate riveting, torquing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner
- Ability to read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
- Ability to work overtime when necessary
- Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
- Previous mechanical experience
- High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
