Job Summary
3rd Shift Chassis Electrician in Omaha, NE. Responsible for prepping chassis with a manufactured cab on a frame modified per order specifications, assembling and mounting PTOs, hydraulic pumps, and compressors, and final pumps mods. Includes installation of foam systems, gauges, and assorted control modules; valve rodding; running pumps and plumbing hoses; adding gears, discharges, fittings and drains. Must read blueprints and engineering drawings to assemble the chassis per specifications; occasional climbing into/out of the vehicle cab or access compartments; emphasizes punctual attendance and teamwork. Requires hydraulics and electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, ability to communicate professionally, strong math/measurement skills, and ability to read and understand engineering drawings; self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects. Education: High School diploma or equivalent; two years of hydraulic/electrical knowledge preferred; additional 2-year technical education a plus. Includes a $2,000 hiring bonus and 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM) with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous mechanical experience required
- Two years of Hydraulic and/or Electrical knowledge in a job shop environment preferred
- 2 year degree or related technical education a plus
