Job Summary
Register, label, retrieve, and discard irreplaceable biological and production materials while maintaining appropriate temperatures from +30°C to -196°C. Perform all functions methodically in accordance with SOPs, adhering to FDA GMP/GTP/CLIA, ISO, and CAP standards. Utilize the Company Inventory Management System to scan barcodes, verify manifest specifications, apply labels, and maintain chain of custody and audit trails. Execute quality control and discard checks, investigate registration or retrieval issues, and generate location management reports. Maintain a clean work environment and enforce Universal Precautions for potentially infectious materials. Work in a 3rd shift rotation with flexibility to report to either the Indianapolis or Plainfield facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and professionalism
- Ability to read/understand/interpret basic correspondence, instructions, rules, procedures in English language
- Ability to make decisions and judgements based on reasoning
- Ability to perform tasks with care, is thorough and checks work for accuracy and completeness
- Strong attention to detail for repetitive tasks
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, performing basic and intermediate functions
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
- Right- and left-hand finger dexterity
- Ability to discern colors or use of color correction glasses
- Ability to work with refrigerants (e.g., dry ice and LNs) using proper PPE
- Ability to reach, lift, bend, stand, or sit for extended periods
