Job Summary
Floor Lead in a bakery setting responsible for training team members, assigning workstations, ensuring safety and quality compliance (OSHA and GMP), monitoring production processes, maintaining detailed production records, coordinating breaks and shifts, overseeing production lines for peak performance, troubleshooting equipment at the operator level, and driving continuous improvement. Acts as a liaison between team members and management, promotes a collaborative work environment, and leads in adherence to recipes, material usage, and QA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical equipment preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a production worker in food manufacturing or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical devices, troubleshooting skills, and ability to perform routine maintenance
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- GMP and Food Safety training
- Must have good mathematical skills
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Bilingual is a plus
- Must have completed GMPs and company food safety programs training
