Job Summary
Oversee the night operation of the grocery store, including balancing tills, preparing night deposits, and handling paperwork such as ordering groceries. Lead and train staff, supervise checkout, bagging, and customer interactions, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory across Meat/Bakery/Deli/Produce. Build relationships with customers and suppliers, direct and coordinate work across departments, manage expenses, and uphold high standards of store operations with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in retail or grocery store management
- Ability to lead and train employees
- Strong math, cash handling, and pricing skills
- Experience balancing tills and handling deposits
- Ability to supervise multiple departments (Meat, Bakery/Deli, Produce) and coordinate across teams
- Customer service orientation and ability to interact with customers and suppliers
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work night shifts and oversee night operations
- Confrontational and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with store manager and staff
- Budgeting and expense-control capabilities
